Hello everyone! I hope your week is off to a great start!
I’m on the Pinkfresh Studio blog today with a card featuring the Peaceful Pause product suite from the Quiet Moments Release. This design captures such a calm and relaxing scene in a natural sketch-style illustration. It is full of delicate details, and I think you’ll have so much fun coloring all the lovely elements in the image. For my card, I wanted to create a soft autumn sunset feel, so I added touches of burgundy to the leaves and warm tones to the background.

I started by stamping the Peaceful Pause image in Detail Black and coloring it with the coordinating stencils in the following colors:
– Stencil 1: Grassy Knoll, Olive, Bay Leaf, Begonia
– Stencil 2: Olive, Bay Leaf, Mulberry Blush
– Stencil 3: Evergreen, Doe
– Stencil 4: Wisteria, Sparkling Rose, Clementine, Marigold
– Stencil 5: Waterfall, Clementine, Marigold
– Stencil 6: Espresso, Gathered Twigs
Once the stenciling was complete, I die cut the entire image with the coordinating die.

For the background, I created a soft sky by ink blending clouds onto a white A2 panel using the background stencil from the Guiding Light suite. I blended Sparkling Rose, Lavender, and Waterfall to show the white clouds, then added a touch of Clementine along the lower part of the panel to give the background a warm sunset glow.
After that, I adhered the background panel to a white card base and foam mounted the stenciled Peaceful Pause image on top. I then arranged the small picnic elements along the bottom of the card to complete the peaceful little scene.

For the sentiment, I stamped it in Detail Black using the greeting from the same stamp set, then cut it into a banner with the Basic Banners die set. I added the sentiment with foam tape for a bit more dimension.
To finish the card, I scattered a few Champagne Clear Drops for a soft touch of shine.

Choosing your color palette first can really help set the mood of the design. Soft blues and pinks create a cooler, more airy feel, while warm shades like burgundy, orange, and golden tones can instantly give the scene an autumnal look. Even a few small color changes can completely transform the atmosphere of the card.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope this card inspires you to play with color palettes and create your own peaceful little scene.
