Today’s card features the Soft Meadow suite from this release. I already shared a couple of cards using this suite for the blog hop, but I wanted to create one more in a different style.
For this card, I white heat embossed the image on beige cardstock and added a touch of white pigment ink to the flowers for extra contrast against the background color.
To start, I heat embossed the Soft Meadow image in white and colored it with the coordinating stencils. I stenciled the background pattern in Coral Reef, used Peony and Mimosa for the flowers, Evergreen for the leaves, and Gathered Twigs for the flower centers. To brighten the florals a little more, I softly added a hint of Calico White pigment ink to the petals.
Once the stenciling was finished, I cut the panel using the Nested Rectangles Diagonal Stitch die and cut a rectangle from the center of the panel that would fit in the white Fancy Rectangle frame. I adhered the outer piece of the panel flat onto a white cardbase. I then die cut a white frame with the Fancy Rectangle Frame die, attached the center rectangle from the stenciled panel to the back of the frame, and foam mounted it in the center of the card.
The sentiments are from the Woodland Trails stamp set from the new release. I heat embossed the large sentiment in gold, die cut it, and added it to the card. The smaller sentiment was heat embossed in white on a strip of dark brown cardstock, trimmed into a banner, matted with a slightly larger golden banner and added underneath.
I then finished off the card with a few Sparkling Champagne Metallic Pearls.
