Hello everyone!
It’s already time for the reminder post for the latest Flower Challenge with the theme “Use a Die”. And this will be the last post for The Flower Challenge this year! How fast the time flies by!!!
Don’t forget Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps is hosting the prize for The Flower Challenge this month and if you participate in the challenge using one of the flowers from the shop tag them using #crackerboxandsuzystamps and you will be eligible for 35{3ef674c9fd176649c89f9051e814eea51265cffdec397d743062752c782d724e} off on any of the flowers in the shop.
I’ve made another red card 🙂 ! This time I colored the beautiful floral butterfly from Transformation set by The Ton. And I used the coordinating die.
I started by stamping the butterfly on some Strathmore Bristol smooth paper in Lipstick Red and Amber Citrine. I stamped the wings in Lipstick Red and the body and the area of the wings near the body in Amber Citrine. I stamped the butterfly again in an embossing ink and sprinkled gold embossing powder on the area of the body and clear embossing powder on the wings and heat set them.
The butterfly was colored using Zig Brush markers in red, orange and yellow. I colored the leaves in gold watercolor. After the colored panel was dry, I cut it using the coordinating die.
To create the background I added some red watercolor wash to a watercolor paper panel. I used Alizarin Crimson Color Burst. After the watercolor was dry, I splattered gold watercolor and let it dry. The sentiment from Transformation was stamped in Noir on the background panel.
I cut the background panel with a Double Stitched Rectangle die by The Ton and mounted it flat on a soft pink cardbase and foam mounted the butterfly on it. I finished off the card by adding three Medallion Gold sequins.
That’s it from me for today! I hope you liked looking my card and will play along!
