Hello everyone! Hope the December is off to a great start for you all!
I have three holiday cards to share with you. I made them using some new goodies from First Snow Release by Penny Black. I used gold for all of my cards for today, as an accent or as a main color.
My first card is featuring Snowflake Pattern (40-706) cling background stamp and the cute Delightful Dachshund (30-645) stamp set with which I fell in love at first sight :)!
I started off by creating the background panel. First I stamped the image with the trees on a hill, which is included in Delightful Dachshund (30-645) stamp set, on a watercolor paper panel in a black pigment ink. I then masked the trees to white heat emboss the Snowflake Pattern (40-706) cling stamp on the panel. I colored the background panel in blue shades making it bright towards the center of the panel. I used cerulean blue Color Burst for the light blue in the center and added Payne’s gray to the border area several times until I was happy with the saturation.
I gold heat embossed the dachshund on a separate piece of watercolor paper and colored it using Zig brush markers. After the image was dry, I fussy cut it and set it aside.
The sentiment is from Merry Up (30-622) stamp set. I white heat embossed it on a strip of black cardstock and added it onto a white mat.
My next card is showcasing the adorable image from Sweet Sledder (30-647) mini clear stamp set and the Christmas tree of Bauble Beauty (40-705) cling stamp.
For this card I chose Strathmore Bristol smooth paper as I wanted to color the sweetie using Zig brush markers. First I gold heat embossed the Bauble Beauty (40-705) and stamped the Sweet Sledder (30-647) in Antique Linen Distress ink.
I then colored the image using Zig brush markers. I used a clear glitter pen to blend the colors. You could guess the shine in the picture above.
I cut a circle mask using Stitched Circles die (51-551) and adhered it on the upper part of the panel to make a place for my sentiment. I ink blended the panel in Faded Jeans, Wilted Violet and Mustard Seed (around the circle). I splattered clear water and white opaque ink on the panel for the snow. The sentiment from Sweet Sledder (30-647) stamp set was stamped inside the circle in a black ink. I then dry embossed the circle using the same die I used to make the mask.
I started off by making a gold brown background panel. I colored a watercolor paper panel in brown and gold from Kuretake watercolor. As the gold was too dark I added rich gold watercolor by FineTec.
After the panel was dry, I gold heat embossed the images from Winter Whimsy (30-635) and Dainty Doves (30-604) stamp set on it. I colored the images using antique gold and rich gold acrylic paint in a tone on tone look. The background panel was then cut using Leaf Stitched Frames die (51-552).
I heat embossed a dove from Dainty Doves (30-604) set on an extra watercolor paper panel in Rose Gold . I colored it in Duochrome Hibiscus watercolor ,which is pearly coral color, and in Payne’s gray. I fussy cut the dove and set it aside.
Thank you so much for staying with me through the long post :)! Hope you enjoyed looking my cards and found your favorite stamps from the First Snow Release!
Wishing you a happy day!
Hugs,

The sentiment is from Merry Up (30-622) stamp set. I white heat embossed it on a strip of black cardstock and added it onto a white mat.
To assemble the card I tied the golden string on the backgroud panel and foam mounted it on a white cardbase. I then added the sentiment strip and the dog to it using some foam adhesives. To finish off I tied a golden bow next to the sentiment, added a red flatback pearl to the nose of the dachshund and covered the trees with some glitter using Crystal Stickles.

I narrowed down the panel slightly and added it to a navy cardbase. To add some snow, I applied white pico embellisher on the Christmas tree and on the ground.
My last card for today is mainly in gold. I used Winter Whimsy (30-635) stamp set to create the background pattern. The doves are from Dainty Doves (30-604) stamp set from Merry and Joy release.
I started off by making a gold brown background panel. I colored a watercolor paper panel in brown and gold from Kuretake watercolor. As the gold was too dark I added rich gold watercolor by FineTec.

I gold heat embossed the sentiment from Holy Season (30-648) stamp set on a torn strip of vellum and added it to the background panel. I foam mounted the background panel on a cream cardbase and added the dove as shown in the picture using some foam adhesives.
