My first two cards are showcasing the new make up themed stamp sets, Flawless and Better in Red along with Swatch it.
To make this card I started off by stamping the make up utensils from Flawless set in Noir on a white cardstock panel. Instead of coloring the images I added the brushstrokes from Swatch it set on them. I used Hollywood Star, Grand Fuchsia, Iris Blooms, Azurite, Arctic Sky, Caribbean Turquoise and Lemon Drop.
To add the sentiment I cut a small circle from the panel using a Double Stitched Circle die. I gold heat embossed the sentiment from Flawless set on a piece of vellum and adhered it on the back of the circle window. I placed the cut out circle piece on the cardbase first and added the front panel with the vellum window on it. To finish off I added a few Medallion Gold sequins.
For the second card I used Better in Red and Smooched stamp set. Better in Red set includes a chic layering lipstick image and also an outline of a lipstick.
I white heat embossed the outline image of a lipstick on a Bristol Vellum panel several times to make a stamped background. I scribbled light green, yellow, pink and light blue Zig brush markers on a clear acetate sheet, sprayed pearlized water on it and pressed the heat embossed panel on the watercolor mix.
After the background panel was dry I cut it using a Double stitched Rectangle die and set it aside.
I then stamped the layering lipstick in Grand Fuchsia, Pink Derby, Beach Blondie, Amber Citrine, Noir and Smoky Quartz and fussy cut it. The lips from Smooched set was stamped in Grand Fuchsia and cut using the coordinating die.
The sentiment from Better in Red was stamped in Noir on a piece of heavyweight white cardstock and cut using a small Double stitched Rectangle die. The sentiment panel, lips and the lipstick were foam mounted on the background panel. To finish off I scattered Royal Garden Party, Winter Thaw Couture Mixes and Glass slippers sequins.
My last card for today is featuring Transformation set. It has a big butterfly image with a wing full of beautiful flowers. It includes also some meaningful sentiments!
I stamped the butterfly image in an embossing ink on a Bristol smooth paper panel. I heat embossed the flower side in Rose Gold and the other side in gold. The image was then colored with Zig Brush markers and Spectrum Noir Sparkle Markers.
To create a separated look I masked the floral side and the left wing and stamped Haute Stripes background in Lemon Drop on the panel. I also added ink blending in Lemon Drop only on the side where the butterfly’s body is. I drew two black lines on the border of the striped background and stamped the sentiment from Transformation set on the panel in Noir.
I cut the panel slightly smaller than A2 size and foam mounted it on a yellow cardbase. To finish off I added some Lemon Chiffon and Glass Slippers sequins.
